The past six months have been some of the most challenging of my life.

I will not pretend otherwise. The country I was born into has been living through war, and the ripples of that have moved through every part of me, as a woman, a mother, a wife, a business owner. There were stretches when the internet was cut off entirely. Communication with the people I love became fragile. The full catastrophe of fear, grief, anxiety, and depression sat beside me daily.

For someone who has spent years building a practice around resilience and embodied wisdom, this season asked something different of me. The tools I had relied on, the meditations, the communities, the practices that usually carried me, no longer reached the depth of what I was holding.

I had to find a new way through.

Returning to the Centre of Myself

What I learned, slowly, is that resilience is not the absence of breakdown. It is the willingness to keep choosing yourself in the middle of one.

I returned to nature. I returned to music. I committed to a 40-day Kundalini somatic yoga practice that brought me back into my body when nothing else could. Day by day, I remembered what I have always taught: that I am the generator of my own energy, and even in the darkest seasons, that knowing belongs to me.

I have written about this season in three companion pieces: In the Centre of the Centre, Creators of Energy, and Choosing Life. They sit alongside this one as the deeper context for the work I am stewarding now.

A Recognition Across Two Lands

In the middle of all of this, I met Shermine Boustany at a women's business networking event in London. She is from Lebanon. I am from Iran. We share a surname, a profession, and a quiet understanding that lives in the body of every woman who has loved a country in pain.

When I first spoke about the weight I was carrying, I felt understood without needing to explain. That kind of recognition is rare. It is also where this workshop began.

What We Are Creating Together

Resilience, Reinvention, and the Courage to Continue is the first in an ongoing monthly series of honest conversations for women who are navigating change. This is not a workshop about the Middle East. It is about how any of us, in any season of life, returns to the centre of ourselves when the world feels uncertain.

In one hour together, Shermine and I will share real stories from our own lives and businesses. We will offer practical tools we use with our private clients, freely, as a gift. We will hold a gentle grounding meditation followed by a quiet space for you to reflect on the last six months of your own life: what worked, what did not, what was hardest, and what is asking to come with you into what is next.

This is the work I do at the deepest level. Helping women come back to themselves. Meeting what is, without flinching. Seeing beyond fear.
